Netflix – July 7th
Adaptations of video games have been rather disappointing to this point. Films like Assassin’s Creed and Warcraft have been examples of that. However, this adaptation has a great deal of potential. Castlevania is an adaptation of the NES classic Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, which follows the vampire hunter Trevor Belmont on his quest to slay the legendary Dracula. The show is aimed at a mature audience, and the massive amount of blood that will be spilt looks gorgeously animated. Every fan of the games should check this one out.
TNT – July 10th
One of the most intriguing figures in history is William Shakespeare. The enigmatic playwright has been the subject of many a project, with the most recent coming from TNT.
